Krav Maga is a self-defense system designed for real world scenarios. In the real world most of us do not walk around barefoot and wearing a Gi.  Because of this, we train with our shoes on (sports shoes), a Krav Maga t-shirt, and comfortable pants. Do not wear jewelry to class.

A mouth guard for everyone and groin protection for men will be required. Wrist wraps and MMA style gloves are highly recommended as well. For levels 2 and higher, you’ll need sparring gear (boxing gloves, head gear, and shin pads). Also, a towel and lots of water are recommended.
A normal class consists of warm-ups and stretches, followed by combatives: punches, kicks, knees, elbows, hammer-fists, and any other effective means to neutralize an attack.  We follow up with a self-defense technique that will teach ways to address various attacks.  We use a lot of different drills to help you learn and to make class fun.
No! Krav Maga focuses on teaching everyone to be able to defend themselves. However, because Krav Maga utilizes high-intensity training methods, you will be challenged regardless of your fitness level. After every class you will leave having experienced an amazing workout. Because of this, you will get into great shape while giving yourself proven tools with which to defend yourself.
At least twice a week if you want to get into great shape and become proficient with your self defense.
We employ safety procedures to minimize the risk of injury. However, as with any high-level physical activity, there is always a risk of an injury occurring. Our instructors are trained and certified to minimize the risk of injury. You will be in good hands.
Yes. Krav Maga was designed by the Israeli Defense Forces in which both men and women serve in combat roles. Some of the most respected Krav Maga practitioners in the world are women.
